Appt this morning went well. I always think to myself, when I think it could or should be better that things actually could be worse. So after 5 days of medicine at 2 vials a day my right side is showing follicles at 14.5, 11, 10, 9.5, 8, 6 & 4. Left side is 15.5, 15, 9.5, 6 & 5.5. SO I'm ALMOST there! Went for blood work this morning also to measure the estrogen & progesterone levels. According to those results will determine what the next step is. Looking forward to 1-3 days of medicine & then trigger shot. Waiting for blood work results which should come in this afternoon & will update then.
Talked with Dr. K kinda in length this am. I know, from working with doctors for the past 10 years that practicing medicine is somewhat of a guessing game. You have to see what works for each individual for not what works for one will work for the other. Talked about "what is the plan for me". I have done treatments & with Dr. K for almost 1 year now with no success. IVF is not going to be the road for me. He explained I can pay all that money for the meds, respond with a WHOLE BUNCH of follicles & only be transferring two. I respond well now with 3-4 follicles so what would be the point. It's basically going to be "finding the right dosage". Continue with Bravelle, just adjusting the vials here & there. We have discussed IUI just because it's somehthing we haven't tried yet, this will be an option at some point maybe in the near future. The good of IUI is the sperm is cleaned & washed & will we know the count again. He said he knows Todd is "rock solid" but that will be another way of knowing & the downfall is the $$ it takes to do that but I have saved a lot since receiving the donated meds.
I will update after blood work comes back but by the textbooks it looks like a good cycle, now onto the wait!
UPDATE: Progesterone 0.5 which he would like 1.5-2 by time I trigger & Estradiol(estrogen) is 695 which is in the normal range, he would like around 800 by trigger. So continuing with Bravelle 2 vials today & tues & appt on wednesday (another update then!)
