Trying something new....

IUI is something that we haven't tried in our journey yet. Talking with Todd last night, he had agreed to go ahead with IUI this month. He at first was on the boat of "it's because you took birth control pills for so long, your body is just coming around now". Well after close to 28 months of trying, it's time to try something new. This was discussed last month with my dr's but I opted out because I had responded so well with many mature follicles that I wanted to see what would happen. IUI will not give us a huge difference in success rates than what we are doing now. My main thing in trying this is 1) it's something we haven't done 2) the sperm is cleaned, washed & best put back & 3) I get to know the count, motility & morphology again. It was 6-08 when it was last tested & sometimes things can change.

So 1 more day of shots & appt is tomorrow (friday). I can't wait until I can stop this Lupron. This whole month I haven't been myself, though how can you be when you are on any hormones. The crying, yelling & headaches really need to go away. I will cry on the drop of a needle & lose my patience the same. So here's to trying something new if all goes well tomorrow. I'm assuming IUI would be saturday pending the ultrasound or soon after. It's okay if we can't but I sure would like to try something else.
